Game Play Instructions

How to Play

Play Feed Math game online for free. Feed Math is an HTML5 game where a player must feed the character the correct sum of sushi plates with numbers to solve each equation. This game is rendered in mobile-friendly HTML5, so it offers cross-device gameplay. You can play it on mobile devices like Apple iPhones, Google Android powered cell phones from manufactures like Samsung, tablets like the iPad or Kindle Fire, laptops, and Windows-powered desktop computers. All game files are stored locally in your web browser cache. This game works in Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and other modern web browsers.

  • Starting the Game
    • To begin the game, select “TAP TO START.” This immediately starts the game, so be ready.
    • On the top right corner is a setting button. This looks like a gray cog. When you select this, it drops down two additional buttons.
    • The first button is the audio button. Select this to mute or unmute the game’s music and sound effects.
    • The second is the full screen button. Select this to put your screen on full view mode. To return to your normal screen view, select the button again or press ESC on your keyboard.
    • Game Controls
      • Touchscreen
        • Make sure to rotate your device horizontally for the game to load.
        • Using your finger, simply tap your chosen numbered sushi plate.
        • You can either tap on the sushi or the number to select it.
        • The plate will automatically be transferred to the character’s table.
        • Make sure to select only 2 plates to solve the number on the character’s shirt.
        • Once you get the correct answer, the character will consume the sushi plates.
        • Then, a new number will appear on the character’s shirt.
        • Solve the next number and repeat the process. Make sure to answer within the time limit.
          • Mouse
            • Using your mouse cursor, left click on your selected numbered sushi plate.
            • You can click on the sushi or the sushi’s number to select it.
            • The plate will automatically appear on the character’s table.
            • Be sure to select only 2 plates to solve the number on the character’s shirt.
            • Once the number combination is correct, the character will consume the sushi plates.
            • Then, a new number will appear on the character’s shirt.
            • Solve the next number and repeat the process. Make sure to answer within the time limit.
            • In-Game Interface
              • Points are displayed on the top left corner of the screen. When you solve an equation, your points get higher.
              • On the tope left corner of the screen is the clock. Watch this to monitor your time. If the clock goes full circle, your time runs out.
              • There is a settings button on the top right corner of the screen. When you select this, it drops down other buttons:
                • The first is the audio button. Select this to turn the music and sound effects on or off.
                • The second is the full view button. Select this to put your screen on full view mode. Select it again or press ESC on your keyboard to return to normal view.
                • The third is the pause and exit button. Select this to pause the game, it will stop the timer.
                  • The pause button is also the exit button. It will ask if you want to quit the game.
                  • If you select confirm, it will go back to the opening screen.
                  • If you select cancel, it resumes the game so you can continue playing.
                  • Strategy
                    • This is a fun an engaging time math practice game that let’s kids and students sharpen their addition and subtraction skills.
                    • The objective is to solve for the number on the character’s shirt. You can only select 2 numbered sushi plates at a time.
                    • You gain additional points for every number you answer correctly. Try to solve as many equations as you can to score higher points.
                    • There is a time limit to solve each round. If the clock goes full circle, it’s game over. It encourages players to calculate fast accurately.
                    • The game also end if you select the incorrect combination of numbers.
                      • What makes this game more challenging is the increasing numbers.
                      • With each equation you solve, expect the number for the next round to go higher. The greater the numbers, the more time you may need to solve each equation.
                      • Answering equations correctly adds more points to your score. This does not add more time to your time limit.
                      • You only get around one minute to solve for each equation.
                      • If you’re about to run out of time, it’s worth guessing the right combination. But try to solve for the right answer within the given time.
                      • Plates repeatedly move past with the same numbers on them. If you are up to a large number (e.g. many hundreds) then you can shift your strategy away from addition toward subtraction. Take the largest plate from the group and subtract that number from the number on the shirt to figure out which other plate you need to choose.
                      • Enjoy playing this interactive online addition and subtraction practice game. It’s a great activity that parents and teachers can use to make math and adding more fun and engaging for kids and students.
